This website does not send your quote-form details to a server of ours. If you complete the quote form and choose to send it, your device opens WhatsApp with a message pre-filled with what you entered; nothing is sent until you press Send in WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is operated by a third party (WhatsApp, part of Meta). When you use WhatsApp to contact us, whether through our quote form, one of the WhatsApp links on this website, or by messaging us directly, the information you send is shared with that provider, and the provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to it. Please do not send more personal information than is needed for your enquiry.
SFR Motors follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks.
Google Analytics is optional and only runs with your consent. If you choose “Accept analytics”, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how this website is used — for example which pages are viewed and how often our telephone and WhatsApp contact links are used — so that we can improve the website and our mobile tyre services. If you choose “Reject analytics”, or you have not made a choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
While analytics is on, your browser connects to Google, so Google receives standard technical information such as your IP address and browser and device details, together with the cookie identifiers described below. When you click a telephone or WhatsApp link our own tracking records only that a click happened and where on the page it was, not any message. Depending on the measurement settings in our Google Analytics account, Google Analytics may also automatically record general interactions such as scrolling and clicks on links to other websites, including the address of the link clicked (for example our own WhatsApp contact link). We do not send your name, your own telephone number, your email address or anything you type into our quote form to Google Analytics, and Google signals and advertising personalisation are switched off for our Google Analytics set-up. This website does not currently use Google Ads conversion or remarketing tags.

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store. This website uses the following:
sfr_consent, set by SFR Motors on this website. It remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies so that we do not ask again on every page. It contains only your choice (analytics granted or denied) and a version marker — no personal information. It is kept for up to 180 days, after which we ask again, unless you change your choice or delete it sooner. Because it is needed to respect your choice, it is set without asking._ga, used to distinguish visitors, and _ga_B9TY4GMXYT, used to keep session state. Both are set on our domain by Google's script and are stored for up to 2 years (Google's default); some browsers shorten this.Analytics data is sent to Google using small tracking requests (sometimes called web beacons), and only while analytics is on. You can change your mind at any time: choose “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and select “Accept analytics” or “Reject analytics”. If you reject after previously accepting, we stop Google Analytics, remove the Google Analytics cookies that this website set, and reload the page. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
The fonts on this website are hosted on the website itself and set no cookies. The Google Map on the Contact page is not loaded unless you choose to load it; if you do, Google may set its own cookies (see the section on third-party services below).
SFR Motors's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.
Google Maps (only if you choose). The Contact page shows a button, “Load Google Map”. Until you press it, your browser makes no connection to Google for the map. If you press it, the map loads from Google, which receives your IP address and other technical information and may set cookies, under Google's own policy (linked in the analytics section above). The map shows the general Bathgate service area only. The “View Bathgate area on Google Maps” link opens Google Maps only if you click it.
Fonts. The Roboto typeface is hosted on this website. It is no longer loaded from Google Fonts, so displaying our pages does not send your IP address to Google for fonts.

We keep personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes it was collected for: dealing with your enquiry, providing and administering the services you request, keeping our business and accounting records, and meeting our legal obligations.
